Our Inspiration
The Corpo Santo Historical Hotel was born from a desire to share the history of Lisbon and Portugal with its guests, both tourists and locals. Occupying an entire block of one of the most characteristic areas of the city, the hotel is a space where history, comfort and contemporary luxury come together in perfect harmony.
Nuno Leónidas’ team of architects, responsible for the exterior design, maintained the structure and original facade of the building. Every aspect of its location and environment, from the artifacts found during the construction, to the symbolic names of the area and its proximity to the River Tagus, was included in the creation of this unique hotel.
Inside, in line with its synergy of history and modernity, the hotel was decorated by design duo Branco sobre Branco. The result is a warm, minimalist atmosphere, a contemporary design with a few details from the past and a hand-painted mural in the hotel’s entrance, alluding to the city's history and its connection to the river.
